4th of July or Independence Day

My friend Ems who now lives in the US just informed me that today they will go to an open field to witness some fireworks display and have a little picnic with her family. So i responded " Wow! that is so exciting and cool " because i do love watching fireworks display either. And i wondered why, so she reminded me that " Hey girl its our Independence day! " . So then, it brings up to my memory the date, that every year on July 4th is the anniversary of the day in 1776 when the American colonies signed the Declaration of Independence. Yeah! a little history here that the people in United States including kids and even grownups celebrate the event with bands and parades, picnics, barbecues and fireworks. A holiday that is very significant to all Americans and worthy of commerations and parties. Well, Emz i greet your family and your countrymen a wonderful celebration. Cheers!

Height is always been an issue to people wether you are being so tall or being so short. But most society prefer to accept those tall height in people like those of the supermodels, stewardees, basketball players, hotel associates, and a lot more. For me whose height is only 5 feet, very short compared to normal height people is quite bothers me sometimes. Specially when applying on those jobs that needs a much taller height requirement even though i have the capacity and skills in doing such job. They always stop you when they already saw how much is your height is. Indeed a big matter to me and is a bit unfair and kind of dicriminating. Though i share this kind of opinion and feelings, i never lose hope. Good that right now there are a lot of gadgets, vitamins, and supplements that helps young kids and young adults grow taller and achieve the height they wanted. On the contrary, either your tall or short, everything happens with a reason and purpose, both has an identified advantage and disadvantages as well.

Today the weather here in the Philippines is very unpredictable. Sometimes it is so hot and warm then suddenly heavy rain showers dropped down instantly causing health concerns of people easily diseased due to abrupt weather changes. Normally, a tropical seasoned country like Philippines usually feel 28 to 30 dergees of hot temperature which i think quite tolerable for every human skin. But unlike other countries for example Arizona, the weather they are currently experiencing is about 80 degrees of sunny heat. Could you imagine yourself walking on the streets without any shade on, its terribly hot and irritating. So this makes you wonder on how people in this country lived and endure such weather condition. It was a shocking news appeared on my eyes when i saw the headlines online that Michael Jackson dies at 50. At first i simply thought it was just a joke but then came to reality that it is really not and what i am reading and seeing does truly happened. I felt in grief and sorrow while i was reading the details of the news and clicking on those videos about Michael.

I simply cant believe because not only me but my whole family is an avid fan of Michael Jackson. He is definitely a legendary person to us and deserves the title as the King of Pop music. He form and influenced people not only in the entertainment and music industry but as well the lives of people with his distinct moves and unbeated songs. In fact, we passed on his music videos to my 2 lovely nieces ages 4 and 5, and no doubt they did love the music and try to sing with him and dance along with him at their very young age. Indeed, no matter what age you are, Michael does was truly great in his craft.

And now on his death, the world is all saddened. Through this simple post of mine, I am extending my condolences to the Jackson family. Even he passed away now, his memories remains in our hearts that we will treasure forever and still live with his songs until to the next generations. We love you Michael Jackson =(

So i agreed to her and said " okay! lets plan ahead and have a vacation tour in Singapore". After a long, dark winter, people in Scandinavia celebrate the coming of summer and of light, usually around June 22. The celebration of Midsummer's Eve was from ancient times linked to the summer solstice. People believed that mid-summer plants had miraculous healing powers and they therefore picked them on this night. Bonfires were lit to protect against evil spirits which were believed to roam freely when the sun was turning southwards again more... Each european country celebrates this tradition in their own distinctive way.

In Sweden traditional events include raising and dancing around a huge maypole, a symbol of fertility, that is trimmed with garlands of flowers. Before the maypole is raised, greens and flowers are collected and used to cover the entire pole. The participants join hands and dance around it to tunes played on an accordion and a fiddle. One typical dance is the frog dance.

While in Denmark and Norway most places main event is the burning of a large bonfire which forms an important part of the celebration signifying the defeat of darkness. There ia also a custom of arranging mock marriages in parts of Norway. The wedding was meant to symbolize the blossoming of new life.

No matter how every countries in Europe such as France, Ireland, Germany, and etc. celebrated this event of the year as long as the main purpose was carried out and the ideas or thought was conveyed to the people as being passed on to the next generation.

The much awaited and ever celebrated 111th Philippine Independence Day in a couple of years ever. I remember before that only schools and government firms do commemoration programs, but this time is different because the entire country wether is private or government is preparing parties and programs to enjoy this day. There are a lot of gathering in every locality from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao where concerts are held while others upbringing thier rallies againsts this Con-Ass or anti cha-cha movements. Whatever they held on purpose, what is important i guess is that at least every Filipino citizens recognized this very day of achieving our independence againsts the control of other countries. And value what our heroes had fought for. Lets party!

Serene bay walk and placid sea water are just one of the splendid moment i felt when i spent the night at Boat Quay in Singapore. The tranquility of the place will surely create a wonderful impression to every persons laid back time or merely an outlet to escape the reality of frantic life.

Right here on this open lounger of the bay i shared the same feeling with the others who had nothing to do with the time but killing it hehehehe... no worries and purely thoughts gone by the wind. In short, living a happy go lucky style. Wanna be?
